In the video we washed the moss off the elephant pens so they won't slip and fall. This was done every week in the rainy season. It took 3 hours and 6 people to do 1 area. Our clients who wanted to do volunteer work saw how hard it was so after we took them to a hardware store to purchase a high pressure water pump, can back to the elephant hospital and gave it to them. At FAE you can volunteer and do not have to pay like some elephant parks.

Discovery Channel's Crossings: Soraida Salwala Elephant Hospital
Here is the video story about the life of Ms Soraida Salwala, the founder of Friends of the Asian Elephant Hospital Foundation in Lampang Thailand. Her struggle to start the first elephant hospital in Thailand is moving and heart warming.

This is the full program about Friends of the Asian Elephant Hospital on Discovery's Crossings. There are commercials about other Crossings programs in the video so be patient during these and watch the full program, it will bring tears to your eyes.
