DAY 1

We will greet you at your hotel in Chiang Mai and ride 40 minutes to a town market. Your guide will tell you about the local produce, food and snacks on display and for you to taste, then travel to Chiang Dao Cave Shrine for a short walk through the cave. We then travel through Fang valley stopping at a Hmong hill tribe fruit market and have lunch in Fang. We then visit a rice mill in Mae Ai then Wat Thaton Temple and walk through the beautiful Crystal Pagoda with a wonderful view of the valley below and a look across the Mae Kok river into Myanmar. We then check into your bungalow along the Mae Kok river then and delicious Thai food family style dinner with your guide and driver.overnight in Thaton at Garden Home Bungalows. (L)

DAY 2

This morning we wake up early to see the amazing sunrise from Wat Thaton temple. We then return to the bungalows for breakfast and check out. We then visit a primitive Lahu village and school for children 2 to 5 years old. We then visit a Karen hill tribe village where we pick up your local English speaking guide to visit Akha hill tribe and surrounding villages. Then we will have lunch and travel high in the mountains with spectacular vistas to Laolee Resort in a beautiful Chinese village. We then visit the tea plantation factory and KMT General Laolee's home who founded the town after leaving the Chinese Revolution.. Tonight enjoy a delicious Yunnan Chinese meal and overnight at the resort..(B,L,D)


In this video we travel from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai visiting Chiang Dao Cave, Hill Tribe Villages, Sunrise at Beautiful Wat Thaton Temple, overnight in a nice river front bungalow and beautiful resort, visit a tea factory, learn to cotton weave then a long tail boat ride.



DAY 3

This morning after breakfast we travel down the mountain to a Shan hill tribe village and visit locals cotton weaving beautiful patterns. We then take a short ride to the banks of the Mae Kok River where we board a private long tail boat ride through the mountains. Here our vehicle will meet us then lunch will be in Chiang Rai. We then transfer to The Golden Triangle and your bungalow resort for the evening where the borders of Laos, Burma, and Thailand join together. We then visit the Opium museum and see the view from the temple on the mountain top over looking the Golden Triangle

DAY 4

This morning We visit the ancient Lanna Thai capital of Chiang Sean. We visit the White Temple in Chiang Rai Arrive back in Chiang Mai by 6 PM with lunch along the way. (B,L)
