As this is a private tour with local English speaking Karen hill tribe guide and his family, you will have lots of time to discuss with your guide the local hill tribe life and the surrounding forests. You will meet his family and partake in daily life. Your guide will also discuss with you the different trails and their difficulty and you can then decide which trail to hike and for how long. This can all be discussed with your guide once you arrive at your guides home in the park. The itinerary below can be changed to meet your desires.
Day 1
We will meet in Chiang Mai and depart by private air conditioned mini van for Doi Inthanon National Park. We then travel by vehicle to another trail for a beautiful 2 hour easy trek to a beautiful waterfall where you can swim in the cold water if you wish. Your guide will show you the different edible plants and medicines. You will enjoy a Thai lunch at a restaurant along a beautiful stream. We then enjoy the Karen Hill Tribe hill tribe people in the village.
We then go to your guides home in a Karen Hill Tribe village. Here your local guide and his family will make an all you can eat Thai food dinner for you. Sleeping will be in your own bedroom. The bathroom has a western style toilet and hot shower.
Day 2
This morning after breakfast at your guides home or the bungalows we start your trek through the cloud forest and jungle. We will take lunch with us to eat at the the waterfall where you can swim.. We then travel along a beautiful stream with many waterfalls then visit the Karen hill tribe village.

You can then work with your Karen guide picking and roasting coffee, feeding fish at the trout fish farm, learn weaving with a back strap loom, learn to play the Karen musical harp, plant or harvest rice in the fields. Help cook and have lunch with the villagers Return to Chiang Mai visiting a very large waterfall along the way. (B,L)
