1 Day Chiang Mai Thailand Bird Watching Tour

Our other Thailand Birding Tours

Birding Doi Inthanon National Park Thailand

Peak Birdwatching breeding season (March and April) is here. Many of the resident species are more inclined to be singing or calling and are therefore more easily located. The early wet season, during May to July, is also a very interesting time for the birdwatcher, especially since many species are still feeding fledged young.

In addition, some ground feeding species such as pittas and thrushes, which favor wetter conditions, now start to breed. There maybe short rain showers at this time, the weather is seldom bad enough to interfere too much with birdwatching as it rains mostly at night. make your  reservations here .

We will take you to 2 areas on the outskirts of the city to peaceful places away from the tourist crowds where you can spot up to 60 different species. These include paddy field birds, raptors, water and forest birds.

In parts of the area are rice fields with tall stand alone trees, a favorite perching spot for raptors looking for mice..

This is the only spot with any real marginal habitat for any water birds that are to be seen would most likely be found here..

The best time for birdwatching in Thailand will be here before you know it! Bookings for tours are already filling up, so to avoid missing out, we recommend reserving your birdwatching tour early to secure your travel dates during this high season. Make your  reservations here .
