Wat Rong Khun “White Temple”
We will meet you at your hotel at 6:30 AM and travel to Chiang Rai and Wat Rong Khun The White Temple. We want to leave early so you can visit the White Temple before the toursit crowds arrive by large tour buses
Wat Rong Suea Ten “BlueTemple”
We then visit the “BlueTemple”, Wat Rong Suea Ten. The site used to be home the ruins of a temple that was abandoned in the early 1900s.. The name of the temple translates to ‘House Dancing Tigers’. Construction of the new temple started in 2005 and cpmpletes in January 2016
Famous Wat Saengkaeo Temple
After lunch we visit the famous Wat Saengkaeo in the small town of Mae Suai oh the way back to Chiang Mai. This temple is a combination of the old Thai style and the modern Thai style. The temple buildings are of Thai, Shan Burmese and cambodian style architectures.
After the Blue Temple and before Wat Saengkaeo we will have lunch at a restaurant in a garden setting on the banks of the Mae Suai river. The restaurant is famous for its cakes, pies and fresh brewed coffee. It also offers delicious traditional northern Thai food with Kuaytiao Lad Na, wide noodle in a thick gravy with broccoli and chicken or pork. Rice and vegetarian dishes are also available.
